It's been forever since I've been on our family blog.....my mother-in-law reminded me of the importance of recording our life so we can look back and enjoy the memories!  The kids are growing up; Mackenzie is now in college at Ohio University studying International Business, Zach is a sophomore at CHS playing JV/Varsity basketball, Caleb is in the 6th grade at Keene, he started playing travel baseball with the Bison's out of Newark, it will be a change and we are going to miss our Bandits baseball family.  Greyson is in the 4th grade at Keene and he's just hanging out with us watching his brothers play sports right now.  He will be playing rec baseball in a few short months.

Fall

The kids and I were playing outside tonight taking advantage of our last Sunday night staying up late because after tomorrow.....school starts!  I was sitting there watching the kids play and it was getting dark so I thought I better go inside and see what time it is, I go in look at the clock and it said 8:50, wow only 8:50 pm and it's already dark.  The first thought that came to mind was FALL..it's all around us, the mornings are a little cooler as well as the evenings, school is getting ready to start, football practice, talk of fair, it's getting dark before 9, Halloween costumes are in the stores, bath & body works has pumpkin hand soap (yay) and all the summer shows are ending!  I love fall it's my favorite time of the year but boy I sure don't know where summer went.  It seems this year is going faster than ever before.  I was just sitting on the porch getting excited for Memorial Day and now we are getting ready to celebrate Labor Day!

Three of our babies are getting ready to go to school.  Holy cow Mackenzie is a 5th grader, Zach is a 2nd grader and Caleb is going to pre-K.  We aren't ready to only have one baby in the house or should I say mommies not ready!  I'm going to be lost without 2 little ones running around.  Life is happening so fast I need it to slow down just a bit so I can sit back and enjoy my little ones before they are all grown up and starting their own lives!

Living Life

~Living Life~

Life is not a race - but indeed a journey.  Be honest.  Work hard.  Be choosy.  Say "thank you", "I love you", and "great job" to someone each day.  Go to church, take time for prayer.  The lord giveth and the Lord taketh.  Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper.  Love your life and what you've been given, it is not accidental - search for your purpose and do it as best you can.  Dreaming does matter.  It allows you to become that which you aspire to be.  Laugh often.  Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them.  Some of the best things really are free.  Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming.  Forgive, it frees the soul.  Take time for yourself - plan for longevity.  Recognize the special people you've been blessed to know.  Live for today, enjoy the moment.

Happy Halloween

It's late and we are sleepy,

The air is cold and still.

Our jack-o-lantern grins at us

Upon the windowsill.

We're stuffed with cake and candy

And we've had a lot of fun,

But now it's time to go to bed

And dream of all we've done.

We'll dream of ghosts and goblins

And of witches that we've seen,

And we'll dream of trick-or-treating

On this happy Halloween.

Halloween, this is my husband's favorite time of year, we decorate the house, carve out the pumpkins, watch scary movis & take the little ones trick~or~treating! It's hard to believe Halloween has once again come and gone.  This marks the start of the holiday season!  We get to load the ipods with Christmas music (yay) start the list of food for Thanksgiving and the Christmas lists for Santa :) we wait all year for the holidays and then they are gone in the blink of an eye.  Here are some pictures of the kids this year at Trick or Treating, hope you all enjoy!  Happy Halloween.

My Favorite Season.....Fall

These past couple of days have been beautiful here in Ohio.  We decided to take advantage of the sunshine and warmth (79*) and go for a drive, enjoy the changing of the leaves & get a few pictures.
